JOIN US!
Takoma Park is brimming with community gatherings of all kinds. I'll be at some, and I will be hosting others: meetups, artbuilds, and playground hangs. Check the events calendar and come say hi!

Want to get involved? Join our team for door knocking, or host a small meet and greet! I'd love to chat with you, your neighbors, and friends. Send me an email at Lucy4Takoma@gmail.com to connect.

Look out for me at community events like the Takoma Park Folk Fest!
SIGNS!
Instead of printing the typical plastic yard sign, I'm doing screen print signs on recycled material. This approach reduces waste, helps keep costs down, and creates signs that can be posted anywhere: no yard required. Please use this form to request your sign:

If you're interested in joining me to screen print one for yourself, or if you have some yellow fabric to contribute, send me an email. T-shirts and fabric bags also work. Email: Lucy4Takoma@gmail.com.

GIVE!
I am running a self-funded, low budget campaign. I believe that super-local elections should not require thousands of dollars to enter. I also believe that direct giving, wealth redistribution projects are an important tool in community building.
For years I have been fundraising for Reparations Roundtable, a direct giving group accountable to Black organizers that use reparations to support Black and brown families and individuals of marginalized genders, out of crisis. I have also followed the work of the Silver Spring Takoma Park Mutual Aid project since the start of the pandemic. In lieu of a campaign contribution, please consider giving to Reparation Roundtable, monthly through patreon or one time through Paypal and to the SSTP Mutal Aid through their donations page. Report your contributions with this form so we can track the total. Let's see how much we can give! Note: This is an independent effort and not an endorsement of my campaign by either SSTP Mutual Aid or Reparations Roundtable.

VOTE!
Cast your vote! Every resident of the City of Takoma Park, including non-US citizens, who will be 16 years of age or older on election day (November 5, 2024) is eligible to vote in Takoma Park. You can register for the city election when you register to vote in Maryland. You can also register directly with the city. Not sure which ward you live in? You are not alone. The City undertook redistricting in 2022 and some things have changed. Find your ward on this map, available on the city website.

Vote by mail! In Takoma Park, you can vote by mail from October 6-21, 2024. The City will send all registered voters a ballot by early October.

Takoma Park has Instant Runoff and Rank Choice voting. Sound like a mouthful? TLDR: It's a system that ensures your vote counts! If your first choice candidate gets the least number of votes, they are instantly dropped from the contest and your vote goes to your second pick.
Voting for someone else? Make me your #2?
Voting for me? Make Matt Bormet your #2 to ensure that next year's Council can address our City's housing challenges.
